Partial Piece

DEFINITION / DESCRIPTION

Provides partial coverage on top of the head at hair part and surrounding areas with bangs and side fringe to blend in with rest of hair and frame the face. Base cap is secured with sewn-in clips.

Designed for those with total hair loss.

WHY PEOPLE PREFER

The multiple layers also makes it more durable.

Mono (Monofilament) top

DEFINITION / DESCRIPTION

Mono refers to monofilament. The monofilament is made of a very fine sheer lace-like material. A Mono Top is a nylon monofilament top intended to boost hair volume from the cap. It’s multi-directional and creates a very realistic scalp appearance and creates nice hair movement. It’s made by tying or sewing hair into sections either at the parting, the top area, or the crown area.

Ideal for those with thinning hair or total hair loss and sensitive scalps.

Lace Front (wig Cap/ Wig)

DEFINITION / DESCRIPTION

A front sheer mesh that provides an invisible frontal hairline; lightweight and gives the appearance of hair growing out from the scalp. The hair is sewn to go up and back away from the face and parted in any direction you choose. Usually requires wig glue or wig tape.

IDEAL FOR

For those who wish to show a natural-looking exposed frontal hairline and styled the same as your natural hair.

Full Lace

DEFINITION / DESCRIPTION

A wig cap constructed using a sheer natural-looking mesh with hand-tied and hand-knotted hairs for the entire cap; usually with a strip of stretch lace around the crown area for contour and hair movement or hair growth underneath. Usually rquires wig glue, wig tape, or elastic.

IDEAL FOR

Can be worn over your natural hair or bald head. Ideal for hiding diminishing hairlines and bald spots.

Natural-looking; offers more styling/shaping/molding options and can be easily combed.

Thin Skin

DEFINITION / DESCRIPTION

Translucent polyurethane composite material made to resemble human skin/scalp and used on wigs around the edges of the front and back hairlines and full base caps for men. Hair is injected to material. Can be installed with or without glue or tape.

IDEAL FOR

Form-fitting. Creates a natural hairline look. Ideal for wearing in cool climates.

WHY PEOPLE PREFER

Ideal for those who live with Alopecia and experience total hair loss or undergoing cancer treatments. More durable than lace. Bonds well with adhesive and is easier to remove also.

Virgin European Hair (Raw Human Hair

DEFINITION / DESCRIPTION

European human hair that has not been chemically altered or processed. Cuticle is intact and facing the same direction.Natural shine, silky smooth, and no frizz. Usually, the hair is procured from European countries. Lasts 2-3 times longer than Asian remy hair.

IDEAL FOR

Highly coveted for natural blonde and brown hair tones. Durable hair quality and color.

WHY PEOPLE PREFER

Soft and shiny; durable and easy to maintain when there hasn’t been any chemicals applied.

Remy Hair

DEFINITION / DESCRIPTION

Healthy, human hair with hair cuticle intact and flows in one direction so it won’t tangle and matt. Usually, the hair is procured from Asian countries and North or South American countries.

IDEAL FOR

Those who want human hair but not the pricey cost of Virgin European hair. It’s healthy human hair at a lower price due to multiple chemical processes that may have been applied to achieve some brown and blonde shades.

Less expensive than virgin European hair.

DEFINITION / DESCRIPTION

Thin colorless natural protective outer layer of human hair strands.

Parting

DEFINITION / DESCRIPTION

A hair line on top of the head that falls either to the left or right or middle.

Wig Wefts

DEFINITION / DESCRIPTION

A horizontal seam of hair that holds the base of hairs together on a wig cap. Wefts can also be used as hair extensions sewn into existing hair.

Close-Wefted

DEFINITION / DESCRIPTION

The weft is covered with a layer of lightweight stretch material.

IDEAL FOR

Designed for those with high density or long hair and to accommodate hair growth.

Open Wefted Or Open Cap

DEFINITION / DESCRIPTION

Machine made horizontal wefts with vertical strips of material sewn in. They’re less dense with a little more space between them creating a lighter weight cap with better ventilation.

Comfortable for people who are undergoing medical treatments and have very little hair.

Top Piece

Top cap (partial wig) covering just the top crown area with the hair either hand-tied, sewn or injected into cap and secured to existing hair with clips.

Swiss Lace Hair System
